The George Works Experience - Reggae Dub Fusion - Quartet
Experimenting with samba, funk and eery folk music, dub quartet George Works finally settled on their current sound sometime in 2013. With trumpet, drums, bass, guitar and a distinctly hip hop influenced overlay of vocals, this London-based ensemble have been taking the UK underground by storm.
Taking cues from the likes of ska-reggae dons Alton Ellis and Desmond Decker, hip hop acts Task Force and Jehst, as well as live electronic pioneers such as Faithless. George Works have fostered a sound that is as eclectic as it is infectious. This is live music made for dancing, no two shows are ever the same.
Having played at some of the country’s biggest and best festivals including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Guilfest, while earning residencies at several hotspots throughout London. The Works are seasoned performers with plenty of charisma.
